about

I guess this is the song I always wanted to write, just about how central music has always been to my life. How a three minute song can literally save your life. Although I’ve played in a lot of bands over the years I’ve remained a music fan, exactly as I was as a ten year old when I first started playing drums. Through good times and bad, music has always been there. Along with wanting to celebrate the friendships I’ve made through music, I also wanted to say a straight up thanks to the songwriters who have provided me with so much joy. To be playing drums while songwriters like Tom Morgan, Paul Andrews, Nic Dalton, Simon Holmes Alannah Russack or my brother Adam etc. are playing a new song for the first time or a bonafide classic to a packed pub has been one of the great privileges of my life. With “Salvation” I’m saying thanks for all I’ve learned from those talented friends and all the great experiences I’ve had as a result of those friendships. And the change that is coming? Well maybe my songs will have a similar effect on others someday.
